Project Spotlight: Decid’Her
In 2023, we launched a groundbreaking project in collaboration with the French Embassy in Kenya, our funding partner. Titled “Decid’Her – Transforming Lives, Transforming Communities,” this project embodies our commitment to creating a safer and more supportive environment for girls and women in the Mukuru slums.
The primary objective of “Decid’Her” is to improve access to psychological and economic services for survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and women at risk. Simultaneously, we aim to cultivate an environment that advocates for change, encouraging the abandonment of harmful social norms that perpetuate violence against women and girls.

Through the Decid’Her project, we aspire to:
· Support the community in adopting positive norms that prevent sexual violence.
· Take proactive measures to prevent sexual violence and address its root causes.
· To strengthen case management to support girls and women’s safety, dignity and rights.
· To improve livelihood opportunities for women and female youth to mitigate risks of SGBV.
· To create safer space for girls to achieve their full potential by engaging girls in sports and performing art.
